This is a compassionate initiative designed to support vulnerable school-going students and community members by providing essential personal hygiene and clothing items. This project aims to raise and distribute sanitary towels, soaps, underpants for boys, and clothes for both girls and boys who are in need, addressing critical barriers to education and personal dignity in Siaya Alego Usonga.
In many communities, the lack of access to sanitary towels forces young girls to miss school during their menstrual cycles, hindering their educational progress and personal development. Additionally, boys often struggle with inadequate clothing and hygiene supplies, which can impact their self-esteem and school participation. The Smiles and Supplies project seeks to eliminate these challenges by gathering donations of essential hygiene products and clothing, which will be distributed directly to schools and community levels for the most needy, ensuring that the most vulnerable young girls/boys and adolescent girls receive the support they need.
